Type of Glass

We exclusively use 6mm low-iron toughened Grade A safety glass, compliant with Australian Standard AS 1288, featuring meticulously polished edges for a smooth, hazard-free finish on all kitchen splashbacks. Low-iron glass minimizes iron oxide content, virtually eliminating the subtle greenish tint found in standard clear float glass to deliver crystal-clear transparency and vibrant color fidelity. This toughened variant outperforms regular float glass by being significantly stronger and more heat-resistant—capable of withstanding temperatures behind cooktops without cracking or warping—providing enhanced safety as it shatters into small, blunt pieces if broken, reducing injury risk in busy environments.
